Teeth of the Dog to host American Ambassador's Cup

The traditional American Ambassador's Cup Golf Tournament kicks off on 14th May at the newly renovated Teeth of the Dog golf course in Casa de Campo. Now in its 12th year, the tournament is a fund-raiser for community development and education initiatives coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce Corporate Social Responsibility section. AmCham initiatives this year involve RD$26 million.

15th Juan Marichal Golf Classic in Dominican Republic

Golf in Dominican Republic
This year the Juan Marichal Golf Classic, now in its 15th year, will raise funds for the Chilean Foundation, Un Techo para mi Pais, which builds homes for impoverished Dominicans.

 

The event will be held again at the Los Marlins Golf Course at Metro Country Club in Juan Dolio, this time from Friday, 14th to Sunday, 16th January. Participating in the event is golf legend Greg Norman, designer of the nearby Costa Blanca golf course. The contribution is US$300 for members of Metro Country Club, US$350 for Fedogolf members and US$400 for non-members. Tel. 809 685-7949.
